The Team: The S&P Global Market Intelligence Equity Analytics Products (EAP) team is composed of subject matter experts in Securities Lending, equities and fixed income, ETF’s and index solutions, and custom baskets.  We are dedicated to providing insightful products, services, and thought leadership to EAP’s diverse client base while delivering a superior client experience. Our team collaborates closely with our Product, Sales, Operations, and Business Development teams to ensure we exceed our customers’ expectations and provide first-class service.


Responsibilities and Impact:

The Strategic Product Specialist is the key product person covering Securities Finance (SF) and ETF & Benchmarking Solutions (EBS) product groups with primary focus on client needs. These products are used by institutional investors, buyside, and sellside market professionals.

Our data and services allow users to optimize their trading performance/efficiency, enhance investment decisions, undertake quantitative & academic research, and market benchmarking.

Products

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company’s products, including their capabilities, limitations, and future development roadmaps.

  • Competition: understand the landscape of competing products and how to stay ahead of them.

  • Product development: understand the local business environment, industry trends, needs of customers, uncover inefficiencies and translate these into product ideas.

Existing Clients

  • Engage with existing customers on market events & news, research, assist on technical product requirements and enhancements

  • Identify and advocate for new commercial opportunities based on client interest, collaborating with product heads to drive revenue growth

  • Arrange regular client reviews to update on product development, providing necessary training and demonstrations, information sharing, idea generation.

  • Data analysis to identify trends and opportunities to enhance or expand the client product experience.

  • With support from client services, product and sales, monitor client subscription size and strive to expand this through regular client interactions.

Prospects 

  • Business strategy: work with Sales, and the product leadership to determine the focus and priorities across customer segments and the services and drive the execution of the strategy.

  • Sales support: provide product demos and other pre-sales activities, e.g. presenting product information and trial support.

  • Client-Centric Expertise: The SPS must possess strong interpersonal skills,
    ensuring effective communication with clients while providing technical insights
    across SF & EBS products.

  • Industry Expertise: Understanding the workflows of Securities Finance and
    Delta One products.

  • Market Insight: An understanding of how S&P Global – SF & EBS data
    products inform client decision-making. This includes staying updated on
    product developments and market trends.

  • Collaborative Approach: The SPS collaborates with Sales and Product
    Management teams, ensuring alignment in strategy and service delivery.

  • Communication/Analytical Skills: The ability to communicate usage trends and
    feedback is essential for enhancing client experiences and identifying growth
    opportunities]

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is approximately $92,500. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an incentive plan.
