<p><b><span>You must have valid Irish, UK, or EU work rights to be considered for this role</span></b></p><p></p><p><b><span>Location: Cherrywood, Dublin 18 with hybrid working</span></b></p><p></p><p><span>As a Senior Commercial Pricing Actuary you will be a key member of the Commercial Lines senior leadership team at Aviva Insurance Ireland DAC. The successful candidate will lead a small team of pricing specialists and report directly to the MD Commercial Lines.</span></p><p></p><p><span>The team works to deliver market prices for Commercial Lines products, both motor and non-motor. They develop and maintain pricing structures using actuarial and statistical techniques and provide pricing solutions for new initiatives and to solve current business challenges.</span></p><p></p><p><span>The successful candidate will deliver the planned pricing strategy and profitability for the GI business, working with all functions and senior management to ensure that the pricing function operates effectively in Ireland.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span>Responsibilities</span></b>:</p><ul><li><span>Make pricing recommendations to the Commercial Lines Pricing Forum for all areas of commercial insurances to meet customer needs and deliver planned profitability and growth targets.</span></li><li><span>Support the Technical Pricing &amp; Innovation team in the development of best-in-class technical pricing and customer behaviour models for the Irish market, using the output to identify and exploit preferred market niches and drive competitive advantage.</span></li><li><span>Lead the pricing strand of key strategic projects, ensuring that deliveries are met, and that pricing integrates with project structures effectively. </span></li><li><span>Maintain effective pricing governance, process controls and full documentation of pricing consistent with the Aviva GI Pricing Standard.</span></li><li><span>Manage the pricing change process, requests and new pricing development demand for Commercial Lines.</span></li><li><span>Support the Actuarial Function in quarterly valuations, providing key inputs and review of emerging trends, translating these into business actions. </span></li><li><span>Identify emerging pricing issues/regulatory change in the local market, plan and execute Aviva’s response.</span></li><li><span>Provide MI on pricing and profitability to senior stakeholders to monitor the impact of pricing change, adapting metrics to new propositions, and managing the data improvement process.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Qualifications</span></b></p><ul><li><span>Relevant degree </span></li><li><span>A qualified actuary and member of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland or similar international body </span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Skills and Experience</span></b></p><ul><li><span>GI Pricing experience in Personal or Commercial Lines business with knowledge and understanding of the Irish General Insurance market. </span></li><li><span>Technical numerical, actuarial or statistical background, with strong IT skills including expertise in Microsoft Office and coding knowledge.</span></li><li><span>Knowledge and experience of the full range of standard GI Pricing techniques including rating adequacy techniques and methodologies, risk cost modelling and customer behaviour modelling.</span></li><li><span>Experience of implementation of best practice technical pricing into street pricing to meet customer needs, whilst ensuring that growth and COR targets are also met.</span></li><li><span>Relationship management skills with the ability to influence at all levels and across different functions. </span></li><li><span>Judgement and decision-making skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure.</span></li><li><span>An ability to clearly articulate rationale to <span>stakeholders/sponsors</span></span> combined with business acumen and excellent written and oral communication.</li><li><span>Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead a specialist professional team.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>What will you get for this role?</span></b></p><ul><li>A competitive market leading salary depending on skills, experience, and qualifications</li><li>Generous pension (employee contribution matching of up to 14% if you contribute 8%)</li><li>Annual performance related bonus and pay review</li><li>Holiday allowance of 29 days plus bank holidays, and the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days</li><li>Free car parking</li><li>Generous Health &amp; dental insurance contributions after six months</li><li>Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme and Approved Profit Share Scheme</li><li>Cycle to Work benefit scheme</li><li>TaxSaver Travel Scheme</li><li>Family friendly parent’s (matching paternity and maternity leave) and carer’s leave.</li><li>Up to 40% discount for some Aviva products plus discounts for Friends and Family</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme</li><li>Volunteering days<
