Job Description
This position is for a future Engineering Internship at our Merrimack, NH location4
Under the direct supervision and mentorship of members of the Engineering Staff, the Engineering Internship undertakes a variety of on-going activities and assigned projects at varying levels of professional complexity requiring knowledge within an area of specialty and/or engineering college major. The Engineering Intern works as a member of the Engineering project team in support of contracted tasks including design, modeling, analysis, fabrication, and test activities.
- Participate in technical projects and programs designed to develop personal and professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the Systems Engineering Department.
- Perform various duties related to the day-to-day operations of the Systems Engineering Department based on area of specialty. Examples of typical assignments include:
- Interact directly with colleagues and other internal or external resources in the planning of assignments and completion of projects.
- Conduct research and prepare reports based on findings, to include recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
Qualifications
- Must be a current student enrolled in an Engineering (or similar) degree program.
- Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to understand and follow complex, detailed instructions, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Must be able to approach technical problems in a logical and scientific manner.
