About the RoleMinted seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Order’s portfolio engineers, overseeing systems supporting the ecommerce pipeline. This role involves collaborating on a next-generation platform and ensuring on-time product delivery. The ideal candidate will strategize, manage an agile team, and rapidly develop revenue-generating products.

The compensation range for the role applies to employment offers from Minted. Our employment offers fall between the minimum and midpoint of the range to allow for continued salary growth during your employment at Minted. The upper half of the range accommodates this growth and supports our intention to create an environment that encourages lasting relationships between Minted and our employees.

Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, associated job responsibilities, and/or other business or organizational needs.
This role is eligible for an annual performance bonus and stock options.

You will:
- Facilitate the team’s building complex software systems from architectural proposals to system performance at scale
- Work closely with product management to implement and constantly refine a complex backlog of projects related to the portfolios’ objectives and key results (OKRs)
- Create an engineering culture of ownership, accountability, testing and measurement
- Be a talent builder to attract, mentor, and retain best-in-class engineers
- Lead engineers in their day-to-day tasks, system designs, and career growth
You are:
- Obsessive about productivity and feature delivery
- Up to speed at highly scalable, event-driven, distributed systems
- Able to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
- Collaborative and candid with non-engineering stakeholders including PM and UX
You have:
- Experience decomposing monolithic systems and operating service-oriented architecture ecosystems
- 5+ years professional experience as a software developer
- 5+ years as a Software Engineering Manager
- Technical design skills with an emphasis on distributed and/or cloud-based design and scaling
- In-depth understanding of computer science principles including data structures, programming languages, operating systems, software engineering, databases, hardware, and networking
Bonus Points For:
- 3+ years of experience building a high-volume, high-performance consumer website
- Experience developing e-commerce platforms
- Experience with streaming architectures
- Experience with payment processing
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, tracking, and deployment tools/APIs
