Meals on Wheels Meal Packer / Part-time Driver

Prep Meals, Feed Your Soul!

Pack delicious meals for Marin's homebound seniors and disabled adults! We have an opening for a part-time (20-25 hours/week) Meals on Wheels packer and delivery driver to work Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6/6:30AM until about 1PM for counting, packing and delivering the meals to program participants. Starting pay is $21/hr.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Count and Pack meals for Routes
• Keep an accurate count of meals and items getting packed
• Maintain proper documentation of packing slips and menus
• Safely deliver meals within a defined schedule and time, and following our policies and procedures
• Follow protocol for leaving meals and responding when the client does not answer
• Load vehicle with hot/cold food carrier and upon return, unload and store
• Maintain regular contact during the route and notify the base if there are any variances in route or schedule
• Submit daily route sheets

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform work according to established procedures
• Ability to communicate appropriately with staff
• Ability to lift and load containers weighing 50 lbs
• Valid California Driver's License and a clear DMV report
• Ability to read road maps and safely navigate a vehicle on a prescribed route with multiple delivery stops

Compensation and Benefits:

• $21/hour.
