Strategic Finance Partner

Currently, we are looking for a person for the position of Strategic Finance Partner who will be is supporting the business unit for providing financial analysis and information that helps the business unit understand their business drivers, evolution, and performance, and helping them in the decision making of day to day and strategic decisions. The person on this will work hand to hand with the Finance Manager, organizing and coordinating budget and forecast processes, producing monthly management reports, and bringing support on the financial activities.

In this role you'll:

Financial Reporting & Analysis responsibilities:

• Prepare the monthly financial results of the Cytric business unit in a timely manner.
• Understand the needs of the PLC (product life cycle) and CLC (customer life cycle) VPs to react quickly with an insightful communication.
• Provide meaningful reports and analysis for management to understand and take necessary actions to manage the business.
• Propose new analysis with regards to the revenues and fixed costs of the unit.
• Help on the preparation of the Quarterly Business Reviews for the engineering community and the top management, ensure the accuracy of the data.
• Provide strong help on the revenue analysis by customer, market, product and provide meaningful messages to the leaders.

Planning

• Support on the reporting of the monthly / quarterly Gross Margin analysis. Working closely with other team members of Cytric strategic partner’s team and the wider organization including Cytric business unit stakeholders and corporate functions.
• Analysing and investigating variances versus previous years, budget or forecast, business cases or other P&L versions
• Ensure the accuracy of the planning exercises, monthly rolling forecasts and budget.
• Analyse the unit cost’s deviation and provide guidance to adjust the year end landing estimates.
• Understand the capitalization process of the projects and follow up on the activities falling under this scope.

Business performance and relationships

• Build up a solid relationship with internal customers to understand business needs. Proactive approach to the Cytric business unit, understand and identify the needs of the commercial and R&D organizations.
• Deliver ad-hoc reports working closely with peers and different stakeholders, such as Commercial Finance or Commercial operations to ensure a common understanding of the business that could lead in strategic business decisions. Show proactivity and creativity and a solid business understanding.

Transactional and Financial statements reporting

• Ensure that financial records are accurately reflected ensuring Revenues, variable costs and fixed costs are recorded correctly.
• Manage the month end closing, ensuring all processes are closed within the target deadlines following Amadeus Group policies.

Process improvements

• Seek constant process improvement, ensuring accuracy in the Financial Statements and reporting.
• Proactively approach learning experiences, such as the eLearning courses, taking full ownership and awareness of hard and soft skills, linked to the current role.

About the ideal candidate

• University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Mathematics, Commerce, or Business Management/Administration
• 2+ years of experience in financial role in multinational organization.
• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of Office package and ERP systems, SAP nice to have
• Proficient in excel with advance functions (pivot tables, vlookup, macros,…)
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
