About the role

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Day/Evening Shift Role. Monday-Friday 6am-11pm, every other weekend, rotating holidays. You will work at the UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford. 

Additional components of compensation may include:
•    Evening, night, and weekend shift differential
•    Overtime
•    On-call pay

Work Experience

  • Hospital experience in unit dose distribution, compounding non-sterile medications including USP<795>, IV admixture including USP<797> and <800>, and automated dispensing machine technology. Required. Those enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy are exempt from certification requirements, but will need to obtain a "Pharmacy Technician-Student Designation" license from IDFPR. 

Licenses & Certifications

  • Current licensure from the State of Illinois. Candidates without a license may work in this role for 60 days from date of license application through Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation. Required
  • Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification within two (2) years of date license was first issued. Required
