The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

FT position available.  Primarily Days, 8 hour shift.

RN to provide collaborative primary patient care in the Medicine in Psychiatry Service at SMH.  Duties include: delivery of physical care in collaboration with primary care physicians and nurse practitioners, triage and screening of patient phone calls, calling in prescriptions, answering patient questions, patient education on health issues, monitoring scheduling functions to ensure appropriate patient accessibility, restock of exam rooms.  Inventory control of medical and pharmaceutical supplies at both Strong Ties and SMH MIPS sites. NYS License.  At least one year of medical/surgical nursing experience.  At least one year of psychiatric nursing experience.
