What We Do:

The SEI helps advance software engineering principles and practices and serves as a national resource in software engineering, computer security, and process improvement. The SEI works closely with defense and government organizations, industry, and academia to continually improve software-intensive systems. Our core purpose is to help organizations improve software engineering capabilities and develop or acquire the right software, defect free, within budget and on time, every time.
 

Position Summary:
The individual in this position will work as a member of the staff on the Security Team. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Secure construction area surveillance

  • Identification and citizenship verification of on-site personnel

  • Assist with documentation for the construction site and new workers

  • Exposure to all aspects of Industrial Security as it relates to the protection of National Security

  • Responsible for electronic devices

Requirements:

  • Willingness to work on-site

  • You will be subject to a background investigation and must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance. 

  • Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States. CMU will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure.

  • Must have strong customer service orientation and be detail orientated.

  • Background in national security or homeland security preferred
