Job Description
1. Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders, customers, and end users.
2. Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
3. Conduct interviews to gather customer requirements using workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
4. Identify and establish the scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.
5. Work with stakeholders and project teams to prioritize collected requirements.
6. Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
7. Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications.
8. Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
9. Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
10. Assist with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options and communicate these back to the business stakeholders.
11. Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
12. Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
13. Generate process flow and other project documentation.
14. Deliver presentations to various stakeholders.
15. Conduct research to assist with solving complex business problems.
16. Assist with developing comprehensive business cases.
17. Develop and execute test plans to verify that project requirements are met.
18. Assist with writing statements of work and defining scope of services for Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Qualifications
Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, documentation, and verification, project management knowledge, defining project scope, developing business cases, technical writing, creating process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts.
Certification as a Business Analyst is a plus.
Additional Information
Must pass a background investigation.
Must be able to work 3 days(Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) onsite in Rockville, MD.
Dress code is business casual.
Must be able to work in a team environment with client team members.
