About the role

Guideline is looking for a Strategic Partnership Development Manager to join the Revenue Team to expand and support our overall partnership ecosystem. 

What will you be working on?

A Partnership Development Manager is responsible for the end-to-end development and deployment of Guideline’s Partnership strategy.

This includes working closely with leadership, product and platform teams to develop and iterate on strategy, scoping potential partnerships and negotiating contracts, engaging and developing deep relationships with external parties, and executing the deployment of these partnerships across a cross-functional team within Guideline.

As an example, for the next 12 months, this individual will play a critical role partnering with our Sales Team to build and execute a “land & expand” strategy for our Guideline for Professionals solution that accelerates acquisition and adoption.

A successful candidate will have experience managing external relationships and driving cross-functional internal teams, be comfortable dealing with uncertainty in a fast-paced environment, and be able to put structure to nebulous, unstructured problems.  

 Responsibilities include: 

  • Develop, execute, and iterate on Guideline’s partnership strategy to grow attachment of core products, as well as launch and learn from new product development and releases.
  • Own partner development relationship from initial scoping through negotiations to launch
  • Build data backed business cases to support go / no-go partnership decisions & experimental investment in new strategies
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to design, evaluate and communicate performance measures against KPIs both internally and externally to enhance product functionality and distribution
  • Align workflows and processes not just within the Revenue Organization, but across  cross-functional stakeholders including legal, finance, product and operations 
  • Uphold standards of culture, accountability, and impact with a keen ability to collaborate, communicate and build solutions that are of service to Guideline and its partners.

You will join a high velocity team and be a critical component of scaling our department, reporting into the Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships.

Required Qualifications

  • Track record of success working in business development, partnerships and/or enterprise sales; fintech experience not required but preferred
  • Proven ability to develop relationships, negotiate and close deals ranging from tactical, mid-size opportunities, to strategic, large and complex partners
  • Strong analytical skills able to evaluate opportunities from strategic, brand, financial, and operational perspectives with internal and external cross-functional teams to drive programs and/or products
  • Highly entrepreneurial and service-oriented mindset with a strong bias to action and  comfort working in a fast paced environment and ability to thrive with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to think and communicate creatively, thoughtfully, and on your feet with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels
  • Strategic thinker with not only the ability to see the big picture and drive towards a long term vision, but also drill down into the details of tactical program management 
  • High EQ team player with excellent track record of success in highly matrixed, fast-paced environments with changing priorities
