Position Summary
The laboratory investigates the mechanisms underlying metabolic bone diseases and periodontal disease, with particular interest in oral-systemic interactions and the impact of periodontitis on systemic diseases.
Current and future projects include: (1) metabolic bone diseases; (2) periodontal inflammation and alveolar bone loss; and (3) the effects of periodontitis on systemic diseases.
Applicants must hold a doctoral or terminal degree and have a strong background in dentistry, oral biology, or a closely related field. DDS/DMD training or equivalent dental training is strongly preferred. Candidates should be proficient in micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) imaging and analysis. Experience performing mouse surgery is preferred. A demonstrated publication record and strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and writing skills are required.
