Location: 128 Rainier Ave S, Renton, WA 98057

Salary: $30 - 33 per hour (compensation is negotiable based on license, experience, and skills)

Schedule: Full-time,4/10's, Monday - Friday, no weekends, closed for 1 hour lunch break

Additional Compensation:

Qualifications:

·        Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Washington, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire

·        2+ years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant

·        Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.

·        Knowledge of industry tools and equipment

·        Passion for working with animals and their owners

·        Experience with proper animal handling and restraint

·        Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare

·        Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills

·        Exam room skills include obtaining accurate histories, obtaining vitals, brief exams, client education and financial conversations

·        Dental Experience, including charting, scaling, polishing, dental radiology

·        Skilled in IV Catheter placement, venipuncture, urinary catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints

·        Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique, pre-operative and post-operative care

·        Laboratory skills including in-house lab equipment, ear and skin cytology set-up and interpretation

·        Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis

·        And all other duties of a Licensed Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
