A Day in the Life
The Senior Manager, Immigration and Mobility, based in the US will play a key role covering immigration and mobility programs, globally for our Diabetes business.This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Develop, implement, and manage immigration and mobility programs, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and legal requirements.
- Serve as a liaison with external partners, overseeing service delivery, performance metrics.
- Ensure immigration and mobility processes comply with local, regional, and international laws. Proactively address risks and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes.
- Provide expert guidance and support to employees and managers through the immigration and relocation process, focusing on a positive and efficient experience.
- Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Payroll, and business leaders to facilitate global assignments, permanent transfers as well as Finance to adequately plan for associated costs.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance mobility processes, leveraging technology and best practices.
- Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis; prepare regular reports for leadership on trends, costs, compliance, and employee satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in global mobility and immigration, with proven success in managing vendor partnerships.
- In-depth knowledge of global immigration laws, expatriate management, and relocation practices.
- Experience working with vendors such as Fragomen and Cartus.
- Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed, and multicultural environment.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in mobility technology platforms.
