Job Summary

Supervises hourly associates to ensure their practices comply with company policies and procedures.

 

Will be required to travel to assist other Levy properties when business needs apply.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists the Chef as needed in execution of production
• Assists Chef with event set up and breakdown requirements: all necessary prep, Chef's Table sets and decor, event execution, event breakdown; product labeling, storage, and disposal
• Assists in ordering and keeping inventory of products.
• Maintains product cost and labor cost according to budget.
• Supervises and trains hourly staff to ensure policy and procedures are implemented.
• Maintains consistent, efficient service during peak hours.
• Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

• 3-5 years of culinary experience in a similar role; preferable in a high volume, luxury hotel/restaurant, scratch-cooking environment
• Must be able to communicate in English, read and follow recipes, and complete basic mathematical calculations for recipe conversions
• Must exhibit extensive sanitation and culinary knowledge, accurate knife skills, and the ability to lead and motivate staff
• Requires the ability to work organized and within a team environment 
• Ability to work well under pressure, be a logical thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using a good judgement
• Possess the ability to prioritize, organize, and follow through to meet deadlines
• Must have a SNHD Health card
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
