Job Description Summary:
Under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, performs any or all of the functions of the department as assigned according to established procedure. Based on ability, experience, and performance, performs the increasingly judgmental activities of a pharmacist pursuant to State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations. Under supervision, gains the practical experience necessary to function competently and effectively upon licensure.Responsibilities And Duties:
25%Obtain, prepare, and label pharmacy products according to department policy for final distribution.

Under the direction of a registered pharmacist, review and interpret orders for pharmacy products needed for patient care, perform any necessary interventions, and process according to department policy and procedure.

Produce billing, monitoring, and usage documentation of pharmacy products for proper billing and inventory purposes.

Maintain sufficient inventory of pharmacy products to enable efficient distribution.

Provide information via phone/in person to other healthcare professionals and/or customers.

Submit medication charge data to assure proper reimbursement.
5%
May assist in training technicians, externs and interns in technical aspects of duties.

Participate in special projects when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:

Must be actively enrolled in a College of Pharmacy or actively pursuing licensure as a Registered Pharmacist through post-graduate experience requirements (required)
Registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern (required)
Hours - The normal expectation for interns is to work every other weekend when school is in session (additional shifts can be arranged if available). Interns are expected to pick-up FT hours during school breaks, as well as being part of the holiday rotation (holiday premium is included). Hours are available on day and evening shift.
