Position Overview:

KanakScapes is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist in sourcing, purchasing,  and managing inventory of high-pressure laminates, furniture, cabinets,  and other millwork products. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing and purchasing high-pressure laminates, furniture, cabinets, and other millwork products.
• Maintain and update inventory records, ensuring accurate stock levels.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and place orders.
• Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Collaborate with the operations team to forecast material needs and plan purchases accordingly.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and assess market trends.
• Support the Senior Buyer in daily procurement activities and special projects.
• Resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, and quality of materials.

Requirements

 Qualified candidates will have the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience in a buying or procurement role is a plus but not required.
• Interest in high-pressure laminates, furniture, cabinets, and millwork products is advantageous.
