you can focus on what matters, providing excellent care.The primary responsibility of the Clinical Supervisor is to support the Director of Rehabilitation to ensure therapy services are maintained at the highest level of quality, are delivered in the most efficient manner and meet regulation standards. Disciplines supported include Physical Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and Speech Language Pathology. The role will use a combined skill set of clinical knowledge, customer service, problem solving as well as coordination among crossfunctions. Although this is an office based position, this role will have a direct impact on the quality of services provided by the Rehabilitation Team.
- Provides education and reinforcement regarding adherence with internal processes and procedures as well as federal and state guidelines
- Receives case referrals, reviews available patient information related to the case, including disciplines required to determine home health needs
- Reviews and evaluates each case by reviewing the services provided by clinicians, conferences, record review, discusses and verifies impressions, instructs and guides clinicians to promote more effective performance and delivery of quality home care services, and is generally available at all times to assist clinicians as appropriate
- Assists in the screening and interviewing process of new organization personnel and makes recommendations for employment of individuals. Assists in the orientation of new organization personnel
- Keeps track of recurring adverse situations and works with the DOR to create additional educational opportunities and resources
- Prepare and present educational materials
- Communicates and establishes positive relationships cross functionally in an effective and efficient manner with a focus on problem resolution. Areas include but are not limited to Intake, Sales, Nursing Clinical Coordinators, Authorizations, DME and Leadership
- Fosters good relationships and positive communication among the therapy team
- Ensures timely responsiveness to all clinical matters through various channels of communication
- Contacts and communicates with referral sources and/or primary care physicians on the behalf of therapy clinicians as appropriate
- Follows up on orders, authorizations, DME, to facilitate timely processing
- Administrative tasks such as adding approved PTO to calendar, monitor TigerText and oversight of admissions log for assigned territory
- Collaborate with DOR in order to track and trend appropriate clinical data to ensure quality initiatives are met
- Tracks clinician productivity to ensure they have the appropriate caseload to meet their requirement
- Reviews utilization for therapy services and addresses those not inline with proper utilization
- Conducts documentation quality checks and monitors weekly report of delayed charting
- Conducts field supervisory and precepting visits
- Facilitates daily huddles to be apprised of priorities and day to day operations
