JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
This opening will support the management in the day-to-day operations of the department.
Job Duties
This opening will support the Housing and Food Services Department in day-to-day operations. Primary responsibility will be with the main dining hall on campus, but may assist with other areas of food service responsibility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with ordering of food and supplies, inventory, and supervision of both full-time and part-time staff.
- Will be working with FOODPRO inventory and ordering management software, as well as POS and touch screen ordering terminals.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Candidate must be detail oriented, organized, provide excellent customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Must be willing to work under pressure.
- Previous experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
Employment with the University for this opening will require the operation of a motor vehicle as a part of the job duties. A valid US driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
- A minimum of 3-6 months of experience is required.
- The candidate must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work nights and weekends.
The starting rate for this opening is $15.00 per hour, with the availability of merit based increases based on experience and performance. A typical schedule will be Tuesday - Saturday up to 30 hours a week depending on the needs of the department.
