Job Description
Support manufacturing engineering in the development, testing, and production of current and new manufacturing processes. Collaborate with other engineers and workers to design, develop, test, and improve manufacturing processes. Be very comfortable working with electronics, sensors, switches, reading, debugging, and writing computer code (various languages). Be able to modify and write programs to support manufacturing processes (testers, driver programmers, mechanical and electronics manufacturing). Be able to troubleshoot processes and adjust programs / sensors accordingly. Interact with production personnel to improve processes, teach new processes, and understand issues.
Qualifications
- A 2-year associate degree in electrical/electronic engineering, engineering technology, mechanical engineering or computer programming, or 5 years equivalent experience.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed.
- Ability to develop and test effective automated and manual systems.
- Ability to perform basic ERP navigation to look up bills of material, work orders, part locations, block inventory and retrieve engineering drawings.
- Ability to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems.
- Ability to write and work with machine control software and modify programs.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design.
- Well-versed in relevant software (e.g., CAD, MS Office)
- Proven initiative as a self-starter. Perform with minimal supervision, positive attitude, strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities, act independently, and use sound judgement.
- Obtain appropriate mobile equipment license for the position.
- Must be willing to continue professional learning and gain expertise in programming, mechanical and electronic manufacturing processes and/or related technologies.
This is an Interview position. Due to the nature and complexity of the position, external candidates will be considered for this position.
The position will be on the 1st shift from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm; however, the work hours may be modified to help cover the 2nd shift as needed from 3:30 pm – 12 am.
