Solventum is seeking Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician candidates to join our 3rd shift team in Meriden CT!
Solventum Purification & Filtration business
We are pleased to announce that Solventum has entered into a definitive agreement to sell our Purification & Filtration business to Thermo Fisher Scientific. This transaction is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, receipt of regulatory approvals, and country specific information and consultation needs where required. This is a significant milestone for the P&F business and will allow for the strategic investment and resources needed for sustaining growth and delivering customer solutions. As a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve electrical/control systems:
- Drive control components, I/O, PLC devices & logic
- Field control devices
- Network systems and communication
- Perform independent preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on web handling production equipment, ultrasonic welders, pleaters, pumps, heat exchangers, building HVAC, and facility utilities.
- Document work in maintenance tracking systems and develop/refine standard work for maintenance activities.
- Perform basic welding, machining, and fabrication tasks using shop equipment, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)
- Three (3) years of mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic work in a private, public, government, or military environment
- Ability to work rotating weekends, overtime, or holidays as needed
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Possess or be in the last 6 months of pursuing a two-year technical degree or certificate program in an engineering or maintenance-related field (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, Robotics & Automation, etc.)
- Possess good documentation skills and can read and understand electrical/mechanical prints.
- Basic understanding of predictive/preventative maintenance and condition monitoring techniques
