Job Description:

Airbus Robotics is looking for a Software Engineer 3 to join our Engineering team based in Mukilteo, WA.

Annual Salary range of $108,000-$140,000 based on applicant profile.

Your challenges:

• Design, Prototype, and Test
  • Develop medium and high-level software in a mixed computing environment with an emphasis on three arenas: 1) full stack development 2) security and access control, and 3) data management.
  • Full stack development of both server and browser aspects with ownership over a variety of technologies
  • Improve existing software based on requirements and requests from customers and colleagues.
  • Assist in the design process of new systems and architectures and inform the development of better programming practices and procedures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues that may cross over into other domains including the embedded Linux supervisory software, external software modules, IT, networking, custom and standard communication protocols, PLC systems and electrical.
  • Provide technical support in subject matters concerning performance, installation, optimization, maintenance, system testing, and documentation of software.
  • Performs hands-on work as needed including operation of physical or virtual robotic systems primarily for the purposes of software development and testing.
  • Subject matter expert at level 3 in at least one competency area relevant to the company. Level 3 is indicative of mastery of the subject matter such that the knowledge is effectively applied with no guidance or assistance.

• Project Leadership
  • Crafts project plans, setting goals/target specs, and KPIs. Owns the quality of execution, iteration speed, quality of the decision-making, and quality of the results (as appropriate) of projects. Leads projects and is responsible for technical leadership within projects. Consistently and successfully delegates work and divides up complex tasks for project teams.
  • Manages outside projects and or teams when necessary. Engages with the outside world in areas relevant to the company; leverages existing capabilities of outside firms, experts, and institutions to the project's advantage.

• People Development
  • Develops, plans, and executes projects and leads one or more engineers technically. Guides and trains other members of the project team. Assists in the career development of one or more junior engineers.
  • Interface with and manage contract software engineering teams or individuals. Ability to work with people across multiple time zones and cultural backgrounds
