Food Runner

Description

  Jonathan Club is an upscale, members-only, private club located in Santa Monica on the beach.

Club facilities include food & beverage outlets both casual and fine dining, luxurious meeting spaces, and a state-of-the-art athletics facility featuring wellness programs and spa services. These are the positions we will be interviewing for, please note that these positions pay an already established flat rate as they are non-gratuity-based positions.  

The Food Runner is responsible for the following: 

• Delivering food orders from the kitchen to Member's tables rapidly and accurately 
• Act to contact point between Front & Back of the House staff
• Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards
• Answer Member's questions about ingredients and menu item's
• Inform restaurant staff about Member's feedback or request
• Make sure member's with young children's get kids food first and special request

Requirements

• Experience as a FOOD RUNNER or similar entry level role in a restaurant
• Understand of hygiene and food safety rules
• Physical ability and stamina to carry large trays with food and stand long hours
• Available to work various shifts, including weekends 
• Multi tasking abilities
• Good communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast paced work environment
