Purpose
Responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing merchandise for dining service and housing operations within Housing and Dining.
Responsibilities
Receive, tag, rotate, and properly store delivered merchandise in accordance with health code standards and Housing and Dining.
Distribute merchandise to internal locations.
Assist in weekly inventory and ordering.
Maintain proper cleaning sanitation standards in the work area including freezers and coolers. Maintain cleanliness of facility.
Required Qualifications
High school graduation, GED, or vocational school.
Six months experience in receiving, storing, issuing, and accounting for property in stores or warehouse unit.
Six months of experience in stock handling and/or maintaining records.
Ability to complete and maintain University Housing and Dining Food Safety Training and/or ServSafe
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
More than six months of experience in stock handling, maintaining records, receiving, storing, handling, and issuing food and food service supplies.
Ability to multi-task and work with little supervision.
Demonstrated ability to receive, respond, and follow through with written and oral University and Housing and Food policies, procedures, and work-related instructions and requests from supervisors, customers, and co-workers.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills. Professional demeanor and ability to work with staff and customer base.
Salary Range
$37,440 + depending on qualifications

Work Shift
Work schedule and location are subject to change based upon the needs of the unit and University and Housing and Dining (UHD).
