About the role
HAMPTONS SEASONAL STORE MANAGERMadhappy is a Los Angeles-based clothing brand made for a community of optimists, born in 2017. Madhappy uses apparel, events, and experimental retail spaces – including its permanent flagship in West Hollywood – to explore a personal expression as a means to an improved state of mind. Its own seasonal stores – with past and present locations including New York City (Soho), Aspen, Miami, East Hampton, and Tokyo – are each designed to reflect their site, while still sharing the brand’s DNA. The brand currently produces a selection of ever-evolving, evergreen classic styles, seasonally available collections and collaborations. Madhappy supports research and awareness in mental health through The Madhappy Foundation (a 501c(3) non-profit) and writes Local Optimist, a print magazine. Each to celebrate us as works-in-progress, and the personal and collective expression that is a part of that.
About the jobWe are looking to hire a full-time, seasonal Retail Store Manager for Madhappy in the Hamptons.
In this position, you will be responsible for leading the charge on Madhappy's physical presence through our retail pop-up. You will own the day to day procedures of our seasonal store and build a team centered around efficiency, excellent customer service, and embodying our brand vision. This role will report directly to our Head of Retail Operations.
This role will be expected to work at our location opening in East Hampton. We anticipate the location will be open in the months of May to September 2025. You must be fully available to work for the entire duration of the seasonal store.
Responsibilities● Own and manage all aspects of retail operations for this store - including inventory management, scheduling, staffing, cleanliness, preparations, fulfillment, and more● Learn and develop a true understanding of the Madhappy brand and customer base● Be the critical bridge between HQ plans, vision, and decisions to the store● Help recruit, coach, and empower the location staff● Collaborate with cross functional HQ teams to ensure the seamless flow of retail operations● Work with your team to report on results and find new efficiencies● Analyze key performance metrics and provide guidance for your store to achieve market goals and profitability targets
About youQualifications● 2+ years of previous retail management or supervisor experience● Familiarity with Shopify preferred● Must have open availability for term of seasonal store● Proven comfort in fast-paced experience is necessary
