Position Summary
Under general direction of the Operations Manager and Director of Operations this position will be responsible for various equipment and facility maintenance needs. Also responsible for all grounds keeping duties such as lawn care and snow removal. The Operations Supervisor will also assist in variety of duties as events require. Assists the Operations Manager and Director of Operations in coordinating elements of facility operations including the building’s mechanical, electrical, HVAC, custodial, grounds, sound, lighting, a/v equipment, tele-communications systems and smoke/fire detectors.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $18 an hour

About the Venue
The TONY'S® Pizza Events Center, located in Salina, Kansas is composed of a newly renovated 6,500+ seat multipurpose arena and the Great Plains Manufacturing Convention Hall, an 18,000 square foot convention space. Nicknamed Mid-America's Meeting Place, the Tony's Pizza Events Center provides central Kansas a place to meet, play and experience events that enhance living-in and visiting the City of Salina.
The City of Salina is the primary owner of the Tony's Pizza Events Center. OVG360 manages the Tony's Pizza Events Center as well as hundreds other public assembly facilities around the world.
Responsibilities
- Lead Operations team as needed on event set ups, tear downs and pre, post and during event cleanings
- Working understanding of facility mechanics, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and grounds
- Responsible for before, during and after event maintenance needs
- Perform maintenance and repairs of facility doors, hardware, carpentry, seats, furniture, rails, staging, light fixtures, painting and associated building equipment
- Maintain accurate records of labor time, parts used and work accomplished through daily logs
- Perform variety of corrective and preventive maintenance within facility
- Executes general repairs and adjustments to equipment used in building and maintenance work, including emergency repairs
- Use and maintain various hand and power tools
- Performs inspections to ensure proper safety on various equipment
- Performs lawn care, snow removal and other grounds duties as needed
- Assists with event set-ups and changeovers as needed
- Assists with event housekeeping as needed
- Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients
- Able to drive forklift, scissor lift, lawn mowers, scrubbers and other machinery as needed
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists
- Report all venue repairs and maintenance to Operations Manager or Director of Operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of 2 years progressive experience in facility maintenance with demonstrated skill in managing multiple functions and interpersonal skills required.
- An advanced degree in Facility Management or related field may be substituted for years of experience
- Basic computer skills in a Windows format including typing, data entry and email.
- Ability to effectively lead a team and manage in a fast paced, high pressure environment
- Knowledge of OSHA standards / requirements preferred
- Forklift certification or ability to acquire within 90 days of employment required
- Possess superior interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing
- Self-motivated and excellent organizational skills
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule that includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and occasionally extended number of consecutive days.
- Work and communicate effectively with Operations Department and all venue departments
