About the Role:
The Staff Engineer is responsible for leading and executing manufacturing-related projects while providing CNC programming support to meet production, quality, and delivery objectives. This role serves as a key link between engineering, manufacturing, and leadership to ensure projects are completed efficiently and processes are optimized. This role requires a balance of project leadership and hands-on technical capability to drive results in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Lead and coordinate projects by defining scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
Manage day-to-day project execution, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and aligned with priorities.
Communicate project status, risks, and changes to stakeholders and leadership.
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation plans to minimize impact on cost, quality, and delivery.
CNC Programming & Manufacturing Support
Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs to support production requirements.
Partner with machinists and engineers to ensure programs meet quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
Troubleshoot machining and process issues, implementing corrective actions to improve performance and reduce downtime.
Support process validation and continuous improvement efforts through programming and technical expertise.
Required Qualifications
Experience in project coordination, engineering, or a related manufacturing role.
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in technical work and documentation.
Experience in FeatureCAM, MasterCAM, Creo, and Six Sigma
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CNC programming and machining processes.
Familiarity with project management and data analysis tools.
Working knowledge of manufacturing principles, tooling, and shop practices.
