Job Details:
Purpose
The Technical Staff Assistant IV will perform highly skilled and technical work in the construction, operation, repair, and maintenance of specialized equipment related to scientific research or other similar activity.
Responsibilities
Interprets technical drawings of conceptual design executing the fabrication of machine components and prototype development
Assists other technical staff and engineers manufacturing, assembling, and testing prototype hardware and systems
Installs, modifies, and maintains electrical power distribution (110, 220, 460 volt) to support existing experimental setups as well as new lab installations and equipment
Provides additional support for normal shop and lab daily activities
Supervises other technical staff and students as needed
Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED. Four (4) years of experience in AC power distribution hardware and approved practices for voltages up to 460V. Familiarity with NEMA codes and standards for AC power distribution hardware.
Preferred Qualifications
Ten (10) years of experience in AC power distribution hardware and approved practices for voltages up to 460V. Familiarity with NEMA codes and standards for AC power distribution hardware.
Salary Range
$54,000 + depending on qualifications
