Department

7201 KH - Akers Clinic

Responsible for providing scheduling and navigation assistance to rural health care clinic patients and for supporting streamline patient flow coordination.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience
Preferred: Previous experience in a medical setting. Experience in customer service and working with the public. Computer experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to utilize the principles and processes of providing customer service.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication, customer service and data input skills.
Bilingual preferred.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential

Greets and answers all clinic phones, timely and professionally using our department’s phone scripts.

Coordinates internal and external phone communication among staff, patients and providers.

Assists with scheduling, rescheduling and cancelling appointments following department procedures.

Provides general information about clinics directions, scope of services, available programs, etc.

Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive data at all times.

Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, visitors, and staff.

Demonstrates a commitment to service, Kaweah Health values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times.

Responsible for gathering basic demographic information.

Manages all messages, assuring all messages are being sent to the correct clinic pools.

Maintains all department goals, according to the department’s scorecard.

Knowledgeable with all clinics including Kaweah Health clinics and Sequoia Health and Wellness Centers.


Addendum (essential for specific dept)

If assigned, manages fax queue for all clinics-referral, pharmacy and outside lab result queues.

If assigned, conducts appointment reminder calls for all clinics following department procedures.


Additional

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$20.00 -$30.00
