Position: PT Assisted Living CNA

Position 1: Friday - Sunday 1st & 2nd Shifts Available - Pick Your Own Shifts!

Starting Pay: Minimum of $20.50/hour, increases based on Years Certified. Position earns weekend shift differentials.

 

Qualifications:

1. Successful completion of a State approved nursing assistant training program. Registration with State of Connecticut registry required.
2. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
3. Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
4. Ability to legibly track and document care given to each resident.

Essential Job Duties:

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

1. Cares for the overall resident personal hygiene and ADL (activities of daily living) functioning.
2. Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
3. Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated. 
4. Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed.
5. Answers signal lights promptly.
6. Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
7. Takes vital signs as indicated
8. Keeps RN Designee/SALSA/Supervisor informed of resident status
9. Assist clients with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, dressing, toileting and grooming.
10. Assists the client with exercises, ambulation, transfer activities and supervision of self-administered medication including:
    1. Reminding client to self-administer medication
    2. Verifying that a client has self-administered his or her medication
    3. Assist the client with the self-administration in the form of opening bottles, bubble packs, or other forms of packaging if the client is not capable of performing this function.
11. Performs routine household services essential to client care at home, including shopping, meal preparation, laundry and housecleaning.
12. Assists with escorts to the dining room, beauty shop, physical therapy, activities, etc.
13. Make visits to assigned residents.
