At PSS, collegiality, collaboration, customer focus and delivering high-quality work are paramount.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>For our location in Leiden we are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Scientist to join the team. As Assistant Scientist you will be responsible for preforming lab support activities including but not limited to A280, SEC, cIEF, cSDS, excipients testing , LC-requalifications, TOC verifications, cleaning validations and buffer preparation. Ensuring that all lab support activities are planned, and executed to a high standard and within the required deadlines. You are responsible for ensuring these areas are fit for purpose and are in compliance with the company’s quality system. You are open to becoming a trainer once experienced enough, and are able to identify and execute continuous improvements</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>•    MBO or Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedicine, process technology (or equivalent);<br/> •    Starter/ 1-2 years’ relevant work experience in a biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry environment;<br/> •    Experience in a quality or GMP role in a cGMP environment is preferred;<br/> •    Experience with at techniques, such as: A280, Sec, cIEF, cSDS, HPLC, MS, TOC, SDS-PAGE is preferred;<br/> •    Experience with buffer preparation is preferred;<br/> •    Strong communication skills.
