Short Description

  • Trains Collection and Billing Specialist in new procedures and monitors implementation for effectiveness.
  • Assists when the Manager is out of the office, handles patient complaint calls, payroll and overall daily operations
  • Reviews Customer Service Issues and provides leadership in presenting resolutions amongst Team and management.
  • Delegates work amongst Collection Specialist on Team
  • Participates at regularly scheduled meetings for the rev cycle team and review issues with the Team and Manager.
  • Report and discuss problem accounts or relevant issues to management for resolution.
  • Contact Payers to resolve issues/problems such as unclear EOB’S, covered benefits, referral and authorization issues, and to verify payment status.
  • Refers any potential claim issue to appropriate staff members and assists with resolving denials/rejections.
  • Maintain compliance with Cooper personnel Policies and Procedures including a good time and attendance record.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

Experience Required

3-5 years of relevant experience preferred

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
