Position Overview
Acentra Health is seeking an RN to work within the West Virginia Aged and Disabled Waiver (ADW) Pre-Admission Screen (PAS) programs. The ADW RN performs education and initial/re-evaluation assessments of Aged and Disabled Waiver participants for the purpose of determining Program Medical Eligibility.
** Please note that this job will require driving and this indvidual will perform field assessments covering Berkeley, Jefferson, Morgan, and Hampshire. Best city locations include Martinsburg, Shepherdstown and Berkeley Springs.
Role Responsibilities
In this role, you will
- Conducting ADW Assessments: You will be responsible for traveling to designated locations to conduct thorough ADW assessments, meticulously documenting your findings within specified timeframes. Your focus will primarily be on field assessments in the designated coverage counties.
- Efficient Assessment Scheduling: You will play a key role in scheduling ADW assessments, ensuring that they are coordinated and carried out within the established timelines.
- Participation in Inter-Rater Reliability Activities: You will actively engage in inter-rater reliability initiatives, contributing to the consistency and accuracy of assessment procedures across the team.
- Involvement in Denial Hearings: When required, you will take part in denial hearings, leveraging your expertise to provide valuable insights during these proceedings.
- Collaboration with Physicians and Facilities: Effective communication will be a key aspect of your role, involving contacting physicians and facilities to verify and validate medical information.
- Additional Assigned Duties: As needed, you will undertake various other duties as assigned, supporting the overall operational efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
Basic Qualifications

- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with the aging population or with persons
