Who are we looking for?
As a Field Service Technician, you will develop and maintain a high standard of technical support for our portfolio of wastewater treatment chemistries. The position is centered around technical troubleshooting, wastewater treatment program implementation and optimization, and the development and utilization of technical resources. This position will be focused on implementing competitive, efficient, and sustainable wastewater treatment programs to our customer base along with providing client training, education, and support.
What will you be doing?
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and the MEIS sales and service teams
- Implement trainings and resources to facilitate proficiency and consistency in technical support services
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively implement, troubleshoot, and maintain chemical treatment programs
- Effectively communicate information to clients and MEIS sales and service teams through professionally written reports and verbal communications
- Demonstrate proficiency in jar testing and basic analytical techniques
- Identify and execute upon opportunities for improvement
- Assist in start-ups to maximize the success of our program implementation
- Continuously develop knowledge on existing and maturing technologies in the industrial wastewater space
Who are You?
- Capable of heavy periods of travel. The position requires many periods of out-of-town travel ranging from one day to two plus weeks at a time.
- A demonstrated aptitude and a desire to work in an industrial environment
- Previous work experience in the industrial wastewater industry is considered an asset
- 5+ years of experience in chemical applications
- 3+ years of experience in chemical service and program management
- Comfortable working safely and proficiently in a lab environment. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
What competencies will you need?
- Post-secondary education in a science or engineering field is considered an asset
- Typical areas of focus for successful candidates include: chemistry, biology, chemical engineer
