Shift Team Lead – Fermentation

As a Shift Team Lead, you will be responsible for producing quality chemical intermediates and finished products according to a pre-determined operations plan.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Deputy to the Shift Supervisor in a leadership capacity. This includes coverage as leader to the team if no Shift Supervisor is on shift.
• Coach, Connect, Shape, and Develop the Fermentation Teams by influence and leading by example.
• Maintains on-call and/or overtime coverage list per team.
• At end of shift, makes sure all records are up to date and have been signed.  Acts as the shift gatekeeper.
• Maintains plant housekeeping standards in the Fermentation house.
• Keeps documentation of all team’s training and coordinates training times/dates.
• Additional Duties as assigned by the leadership team.

You bring

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Min. 5 years of production experience
• Strong process knowledge in Fermentation processes
• Ability to work in a team environment, rotating shifts, and coordinate multiple resources without direct supervision.
• Provide leadership capability to fermentation crew.
• Ability to write clear, detailed summary reports for investigations and continuous improvement projects.
