Raytheon Company has an opening for a Principal Specialist, Contracts (P3) supporting the Global Hawk sustainment programs within the Surveillance & Tactical Radar Solutions (STaRS) product area of the Advanced Products and Solutions (APS) Strategic Business Area. The Principal Specialist will be responsible for the Global Hawk sustainment contracts and will report to the Sr. Manager, Contracts of the Operational Systems Sustainment Directorate.
What You Will Do
- Work with the Program Managers and functional program team members to review Request for Proposals (RFPs), draft and submit various proposals and lead contract negotiations.
- Fully support post-award contract administration.
- Identify risks and advise management of contractual rights and obligations.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and business/financial goals are achieved.
- Act as a team player and work well within a team to develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers.
- Use excellent time management and organizational skills capable in multi-tasking while delivering timely, high-quality products.
- Demonstrate professional presence and outstanding written, verbal communication skills to influence business decisions and outcomes.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Proposals experience, such as cost structure, performance requirements, delivery schedules terms and conditions
- Experience with U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental (DFARS) and related government regulations
- Experience in supporting multiple contract types and change management such as Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost-Reimbursable and Time and Material (T&M)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Working knowledge in the use and application of APEX, ICMS and SAP
- Demonstrated business acumen; ability to clearly recognize risk elements in business transactions
- Team Player with thorough interpersonal skills working effectively within team environment and customers to drive results
- Experience developing, managing or mentoring individual contributors
- Computer proficiency; experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe
- Certified Federal Contracts Management (CFCM) professional certification,
- Existing DoD Secret Security Clearance
