HII Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Electronics Technician III Air Surface Tracking Systems in Beaufort NC. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge defense technology while maintaining and supporting critical military tracking systems. Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

•    Maintains all TCTS AS, LATR PIP, Iridium and IMPASS systems/sub-systems and associated equipment .  

•    Assists in equipment installation. Coordinates pod repair and maintenance. Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved by referencing manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents.  

•    Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on all TCTS AS and LATR PIP, Iridium and IMPASS subsystems and associated interface equipment. Works under supervision of Instrumentation Systems Lead.  

•    Extensive equipment handling and administrative processing to prepare/deliver equipment to meet exercise requirements.  

•    Pack equipment, parts, etc. for shipment.  

•    Documents maintenance actions in IEMS, various log books, and databases.  

•    May serve as IMPASS System Maintainer aboard various ships and deploy with equipment during FIREX events.  

•    Performs complex troubleshooting, isolates malfunctions, repairs to the component level, and incorporates engineering changes. Work typically requires detailed understanding of the interrelationships of RF operating system diagnostics and circuits.  

•    Exercises independent judgment on tasks such as making circuit and waveform analyses, and tracing relationships in signal flow.  

•    Uses complex RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators) and specialized test equipment (T4B Test Set, LIBSS test set, LATR portable test units, and TCTS AS test sets) to perform complex troubleshooting, isolate malfunctions, and repair equipment to the component level when possible. Work typically requires detailed understanding of equipment specifications, power interface requirements, AC/DC power supplies, digital/analog signal processing, circuit analysis, RF theory, and CONTRACT PROPRIETARYGPS principles/theory. Work may be reviewed for compliance with accepted practices by supervisor.  

•    Provides technical guidance to lower-level technicians. Provides on-the-job training to other technicians.  

•    Supports special tests, evaluations, equipment
