The Director CapEx Project Delivery is assigned to one or multiple specific growth investment projects and is responsible for planning, managing and executing investment projects through the complete project pathway (on time, within budget, meeting required quality standards). The Director Project Delivery provides leadership to the project team(s), builds and maintains relationships with vendors and contractors. You will have cross interaction with validation engineers, engineering firms, facility management, and operations; mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulations and legal requirements.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced project manager with pharmaceutical/biochemical/chemical industry experience. It’s imperative to have a proven track record of delivering projects greater than $100M, leading large teams and has technical aptitude to provide solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Create/Implement project plans that will meet the project's objectives through the Engineering, Design, Construction, Commissioning and Qualification phases
- Ensure that the project stays within budget and manage any changes to the budget
- Ensure safety, quality & compliance
- Coordinate and manage the work of project teams to ensure that everyone is working together efficiently
- Monitor project progress and communicate status and issues to stakeholders
- Manage project resources, including equipment, materials, and personnel
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering (chemical, mechanical, process, pharmaceutical, biochemical or equivalent) preferred
- 10+ years in project engineering and project management within the chemical, biochemical or pharmaceutical industries;
- Working knowledge of cGMP Manufacturing of chemical and biological APIs
- Broad technical knowledge of the Various Engineering Disciplines in the Pharmaceutical environment, both on clean and black utilities, process, automation, Instrumentation and Civil Engineering
- Proven experience in cost control and scheduling related to investment projects
- Experience in engineering aspects of facility design to build a compliant but cost effective plant
- Knowledge of modern CQV approaches to minimize the time from construction completion to routine production while maintaining compliance
- Good understanding of how the CDMO industry/business works
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and coach direct reports and teams with or without direct line responsibility
- Openness to mobility is preferred;
