About the role

Job Summary

 Maintenance of SBS Single Risk business accounts assigned (policy and endorsement booking, invoicing, document issuance and electronic filing; account reconciliations; broker/client contact for requisite documentation and account maintenance). Participate in testing for new in-house software development; provide updates to internal audit or governmental agencies as required for assigned accounts. 

Key duties and responsibilities

All activities related to the SBS Single Risk book of business assigned.

Role requires timely responses to Internal Audit, Finance, Compliance and Accounting departments for issue resolution or required reporting. 

  • Adherence to government or SCOR directives with respect to policy issuance, TRIA reporting, etc. 
  • Participation in software development for system automation or other system testing/analysis as required.
  • Monitor multipleshared email Inboxesfor various LoBs.

General tasks to include but not limited to:

  • Entering of new business, renewals, endorsements into Clearance system. 
  • Monitor and ensure that all risks entered into Omega are correctly signed off by the Underwriter and all checklists are completed. 
  • Handling some aspects of administration of business generated by SCOR offices worldwide.
  • Recording, monitoring and reporting of premiums.
  • Investigating differences between Estimated and Booked premiums.
  • Identifying and reporting problems with the Omega database. 
  • Saving and indexing of records and contractual documents. 
  • Reviewing slips and contract documents for correctness. 
  • Entering of FAC R/I into OMEGA. 

Role will include posting of received funds to contracts and settlements outgoing for Fees, R/Ps, etc.

Required experience & competencies

  • Minimum of five and preferably 10 years’ experience is preferred in insurance or financial industries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; 
  • Client-centered approach to job functions; 
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, 
  • Ability to prioritize varying demands, 
  • Multi task and work independently, 
  • Ability to work in paperless environment.

Required Education 

  • High school diploma or GED (general equivalency diploma) equivalent. A four year BA/BS degree considered an asset.
