Job Description:

Our Radiation Oncology office is looking for a Lead Registered Nurse for our freestanding location in Monroe Twp, NJ.

General responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse who is energetic about nursing practice and the field of oncology.  This important position will be responsible for oversite of the nursing operations in our radiation oncology center.

• Radiation Oncology clinical nursing duties including assisting procedures in the clinic.
• Coordinate nursing schedules assuring clinic coverage needs are met.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, mentoring other nurses, staff competencies and evaluations.
• Work closely with physician leadership, other staff within our practice and the extended Astera community.
• Work with the physician team to assess the quality of nursing care rendered, making meaningful contributions to the quality and economy of nursing services.
• Maintain an approach that encourages engagement of the team working towards continual improvement of care.
• Participate in Center committees’ activities.

Requirements:

• Current RN License; CPR Certification required
• OCN Certification preferred
• Experience as an RN with specialty in oncology/hematology
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of EMR systems
