We are seeking a skilled Project Policy Analyst to join our executive team to provide administrative support and analytical support within the executive office of the Department of Medicine, the largest department in the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and its 18+ Divisions. In this role, you will oversee administrative processes for the department and analyze complex problems using various types of data to support strategic decision-making. You will communicate with the department’s clinic and division leadership, write and edit contract policies and request forms, collect and review data points, provide analysis, and generate reports for the clinical operations team. The ideal candidate demonstrates an understanding of healthcare operations, academic personnel policies, financial systems and compensation structures, has experience communicating with executive leadership, and possesses intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Using University internal databases, you will generate and review reports as needed, and provide support and oversight for special projects as assigned. You will also work in conjunction with other team members in various department process improvement projects on-site as needed.
Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full hourly salary range for this position is $28.30 - $54.74. Please note that the department's target hourly pay range is $28.30 - $41.52.

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work independently and also have interpersonal skills to work with teams.
- Demonstrated writing skills to produce wide range of documents and deliverables.
- Experience communicating effectively and professionally and working with a variety of internal and external partners, including UCLA administrators, outside funders, policy makers and community representatives.
