Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Description

The Sr. QA Analyst will play a key role in software development lifecycle and will be responsible for improving overall quality assurance outcomes by applying problem-solving skills, QA best practices and various tools. The environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to take initiative and manage ambiguity to drive effective results. This role will interface with customers, subject matter experts, technical experts, developers, and QA engineers/analysts located globally and in different time zones. You may be placed to work with out clients and their teams in a staff augmentation agreement as well.

Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinates with all stakeholders located globally and in different time zones to achieve overall quality goals
• Understand requirements/customers/end users and accordingly outline various testing artifacts such as test plan, test cases, test data, reports, and traceability
• Execute functional, integration, regression, exploratory tests to ensure application quality
• The Senior QA Analyst will evaluate and execute procedures for maintaining high standards of quality and reliability for all software developed for retail, mobile and online use cases a client may have.
• This position is responsible for developing and executing tests on new and existing products to ensure that they meet requisite functional and technical compliance and maintain high overall product quality
• Develops, maintains, and executes test plans and test scripts
• Documents, maintains, and tracks the status of all issues in the bug tracking database (JIRA) until issues are resolved
• Reproduce issues when necessary in order to assist software development in resolving issues
• May generate/provide input to project status reports for each assigned project
• Lead software defect scrub meetings and Test Milestone hand-off meetings with Development
• Test APIs using Testing tools.
• May work on Adobe AEP platform so familiarity with the platform is a plus.
• Ability to work with limited supervision

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment and flexible to adapt to changes
• Strong experience with Java, HTML, Postman, SOAP UI
• Strong knowledge of QA best practices
• Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux commands
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio/VSTS preferred
• AEP experience is a nice to have
