The Role:

The Billing Operations Manager will be in charge of overseeing all Billing-related functions associated with our regional agency partners.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile, report, and monitor operational transactions on behalf of our agency partners
• These transactions include cash application, agency commissions, collection of aged receivables and payables to finance companies, brokers & producers
• Responsible for being the main billing contact for a growing book of assigned regional agency partners
• Provide direct support to the Accounting Manager in the oversight of their assigned regional accounting team
• Manage team member’s scorecard metrics through quarterly performance reviews and scheduled 1 on 1’s to ensure a high-performance delivery of expected commitments
• Develop engagement strategies to meet the performance expectations of team members
• Implement and oversee a robust training plan for all new team members
• Responsible for the auditing of regional agency balances on a weekly basis
• Responsible for managing the collection of all delinquent accounts within their assigned region
• Oversee all assigned regional HubSpot tickets, and delegate as needed
• Manage larger volume & complex processes or tasks for their team & Agency Partners
• Approve team members' AP transactions; including, commissions, return premiums, overpayments and return deposits
• Review and approve all agency statements prior to distribution to our agency partners.

The Expected base pay for the role will be between $80,000-$100,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonus and other Cover Whale-sponsored total rewards/benefits.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree required. Accounting or Finance Degree preferred

• One to two years of managerial experience
• Two to three years of accounts receivable and general accounting experience.

Must-Have Skills:

• Proven ability and aptitude with the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as above-average math skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload.
• Demonstrates attention to detail.
• Displays a customer service focus.
