Position Overview:
The Shop Opening Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing marketing within new shop openings to strengthen brand recognition and loyalty, particularly in new/emerging Dutch Bros markets. This role supports the planning and execution of all marketing activities related to Grand Openings, as well as assists in local paid media planning and reporting.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration, or 4 years of comparable experience, required
2 additional years in a local, field, or grand opening marketing or similar, required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Creative thinking and the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Above average analytics skills, with demonstrated ability to manage complexity of multiple data sets, deadlines and deliverables
Multi-unit QSR or retail experience, preferred
Location Requirement:
This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
Assisting with all grand opening and local heavy up marketing efforts, ensuring successful startup and ramp of new locations:
Develop comprehensive marketing plans for new shops / markets, including defining campaign goals, budget and integrated plans and leading cross functional team work
Oversee the end-to-end execution of new shop / market campaigns, ensuring all elements are aligned with the campaign strategy and are on time and on budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate campaign activities, including creative development, advertising, signage, promotional efforts and media plans
Assess current processes and make recommendations for improvement
Manage grand openings marketing budget soup to nuts, identifying opportunities for efficiencies and simplification in the process and spend
Conduct market and performance analysis, and trends assessment:
Monitor and report on the performance of openings and campaigns, measuring ROI and key performance indicators, making recommendations for improvement
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, field insight and local market dynamics habits to inform campaign strategies
Make data-driven recommendations to enhance future campaigns and tactics
Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends related to grand openings and local market heavy ups
Package key learnings for marketing stakeholders, particularly brand and creative team, to stay abreast of what’s working / not by channel
Monitor competitive advertising creative, local marketing efforts and spend trends
Play a critical role in enabling seamless collaboration between internal teams, field operations, and key vendor partners:
Build effective working relationships with field teams and vendor partners to support timely and accurate execution of initiatives.
Collect feedback and field sensing to inform teams and support decision-making.
Ensure alignment on timelines, roles, and next steps through structured communication and regular check-ins.
Manage operational trackers and status reports to drive transparency, accountability, and urgency across all partners.
Partner cross-functionally to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and propose data-informed process improvements.
Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings
