We are 50 years strong in 21 offices across California, the Pacific Northwest, and the Southeastern United States.</strong></p></div><p>Environmental Science Associates (ESA) is actively seeking&nbsp;<strong>On-Call Archaeological Field Technicians</strong>&nbsp;in the&nbsp;Northern California Area, including&nbsp;<strong>San Francisco, Sacramento, Oakland, San Jose, and Petaluma</strong>.&nbsp; Candidates must be within a commutable distance and able to commute to support field work on-site as needed will also be considered.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Who You Are</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>You are an effective team member experienced in archaeological and/or paleontological monitoring, surveys, and documentation of archaeological, and/or paleontological resources in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal guidelines and requirements. You live in&nbsp;<strong>Northern&nbsp;California to support local work. If you are available to travel to remote work locations, we will consider candidates from elsewhere in California as well</strong>. Potential for travel to Southern California, Nevada, and Arizona.</li> <li>You hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in archaeology/anthropology/paleontology or related field. You have a demonstrated ability to use app-based software for field recordation and mapping.</li> <li>You are familiar with working on active construction sites, completing&nbsp;<strong>DPR forms,</strong>&nbsp;are knowledgeable of archaeological materials common to the region, and have a&nbsp;<strong>minimum of six months of field experience</strong> or relative academic field experience in Northern California.&nbsp;</li> <li>You enjoy working outside and can walk long distances carrying up to 50 lbs. of gear in a wide variety of conditions, including strenuous natural habitats and difficult weather.
