The Position: Makpar has an exciting opportunity for aSenior System Administratorto join our growing team. 

Role Specific Duties:

• System administrator of physical and virtual windows, Linux, and Solaris servers. 
• Software upgrades, security patch installations, lifecycle hardware/software refresh, server monitoring, backup and restoration, and other tasks as required 
• Create/update SOP documentation  
• Virtualization and management of virtual infrastructure  
• Continuity of Operations support as needed 
• Provide input to in-progress reviews of IT projects and maintain effective communications with government clients and system stakeholders  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related fields.  
• 10 years of experience with systems administration preferably with 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in the role 
• Hands-on experience with LAN and WAN networks as well as a good understanding of network switches  
• Ability to plan, deliver, operate, and manage Microsoft server infrastructure solutions across multiple solution areas in an enterprise environment 
• Knowledge of and/or experience with Hyper-V or VMWare, SCCM, SMTP, Printer Management, DHCP and DNS 
• Current Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification (Exams AZ-800 & AZ-801) 
• Experience working with Active Directory 

Additional Requirements as per contract/client:

• Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant.
