Position Summary...

What you'll do...

This position will be located at our brand-new home office in Bentonville, Arkansas.

At Walmart, we take pride in being the most trusted retailer.  A critical path to building consumer trust is ensuring Walmart only offers for sale products that are safe and compliant.  As a member of the Product Safety and Compliance team, you will have direct involvement in executing and building programs expected to guarantee product safety and regulatory compliance. On the Regulatory Reporting Team, you will lead initiatives related to our Retail Reporting Program, analyze data to glean insights and spot risks/trends in product safety, improve compliance processes and lead tech initiatives to automate workload while maintaining direct regulatory reporting responsibilities.

What you’ll do….

  • Focus on execution of Walmart Product Safety and Compliance programs for regulatory reporting.

  • Monitor multiple data sources for qualifying reportable events and incorporate into weekly reports to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. 

  • Collaborate across stakeholders to ensure program awareness and communicate change impact to other business areas.

  • Execute regulatory reporting function while recommending and developing strategies for program improvement.

  • Draft and respond to direct regulator inquiries.

  • Support other jurisdictional reporting programs, i.e. WA State Light Recycling.

  • Collaborate to ensure compliance with CPSC and FDA guidelines.

  • Contribute to the continual improvement of regulatory reporting for Product Safety.

  • Support the maturation of the analytics and insights model to spot risk across merchandising groups.

  • Identify technical efforts to unlock new data streams and ways of working.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of product safety compliance experience.

  • Data Analytics & Visualization skills - Excel, Tableau, Power BI.

  • Experience with MS Office Suite applications.
