This is a Full-Time Administrative position at grade 16, with an annual salary range of $72,417 to $96,556. The salary offer will be based on education and experience, in alignment with the College’s compensation philosophy and the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), if applicable.

Job Summary:

An employee in this classification performs work of considerable difficulty designing and executing the individual major gifts and planned gifts program for the ECC Foundation while maintaining an active portfolio of 125+ donor prospects and obtaining private major and planned gifts at the highest level while supporting the priorities identified by the College. Work is distinguished by collaborating with the executive director, leadership of the College, and members of the Foundation’s executive committee. Direction is received by the assigned manager.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in business, communications or related field with a minimum of five (5) years experience in major gift fundraising with a minimum of three (3) of those years working with senior-level volunteers or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  2. Considerable knowledge of planned giving vehicles (e.g. pooled income funds, charitable trusts, life insurance policies, deferred gifts, etc.) and charitable estate planning, including applicable federal and state tax law that impact charitable planning.
  3. Considerable knowledge of tax and estate planning, including laws and regulations that impact charitable giving and planning.
  4. Good knowledge of moves management systems and processes and use of a computer-based constituent relationship management (CRM) system for tracking.
  5. Considerable skill in interpersonal interaction to be applied to a variety of individuals with differing education, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
  6. Considerable skills thinking strategically, developing a vision, and implementing its details.
  7. Considerable written and oral communication skills.
  8. Considerable skills in training, orienting, and organizing senior level volunteers in gift solicitation.
  9. Considerable skill in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Access and Publisher
  10. Considerable skill in organizing work to meet established deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  11. Ability to travel independently to prospective donors’ and volunteers’ homes, events, and other required engagements, including many early morning, evening, and weekend engagements.

 

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Master’s degree.
  2. Considerable skills in orchestrating volunteers and soliciting gifts for multi-million dollar campaigns.
  3. Considerable skills overseeing a direct fundraiser.
  4. Experience with Salesforce

Essential Duties:

  1. Designs and coordinates major and planned giving program and fund-raising activities for the Foundation, including prospect pool identification and oversight, prospect management tracking, moves management system and reporting, campaign planning and execution, and stewardship for private donors with capacity to give $10,000 or more.
  2. In coordination with the executive director, identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards portfolio of at least 125 active, individual major and planned gift prospects.  Designs moves management strategy for each and tracks progress and next steps utilizing Raisers Edge constituent relationship management database.
