Environmental, Health & Safety Intern

Responsibilities:Support the maintenance of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance, injury prevention, and risk mitigation.Research policies, regulations, and methodologies related to company Environmental, Social, & Governance (ESG) goals. Collect & analyze data in support of ESG metrics and reporting.Participate in regular area inspections, document corrective actions, and track to closure.Participate in EHS training scheduling, management, and delivery.Record environmental parameters. Take effective steps to ensure that all required records are prepared and maintained.Communicate task completion status both verbally and in writing.Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time.
Minimum Requirements:Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in engineering, environmental, occupational safety or occupational health related field. Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills with all levels of personnel.Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work under general supervision.Ability to deal with confidential information in a professional manner.Must demonstrate personal integrity and high ethical standards.Must be able to work in a fast-changing environment with multidisciplinary team and scientists.
Highly Desirable:Experience working within a battery or automotive operations and/or manufacturing.Strong people skills.
Physical Requirements:May work with airtight isolation chambers and/or wear neoprene or vinyl gloves for 15-30% of the time. May frequently reach above shoulder heights and below the waist. May be required to use hand or power tools. Ability to stoop, kneel, crawl, lift up to 30 pounds, push and extend arms. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
