JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Athletic Programs Specialist Advanced Professional will provide support to the campus Director of Athletics and to its six varsity sports. The coordinator will be responsible for hiring and supervising the Athletics and Ruhl Center student staff, coordinating student-athlete recruitment, administrative support, youth camps, and athletic special events.

The coordinator will be responsible for hiring and supervising the Athletics and Ruhl Center student staff, coordinating student-athlete recruitment, administrative support, youth camps, and athletic special events. Penn State York Athletics follows the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) and United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) guidelines for all varsity sports.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate all aspects of student-athlete recruitment
Lead user of Front Rush software
Select, supervise, train, and evaluate student staff
Coordinate fitness classes, hire and pay instructors
Manage athletics social media channels, live streams
Coordinate annual athletics award event
Other duties as assigned
Typical Education:
2+ years of related experience
Bachelor's Degree or higher
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances:
• PA State Police Criminal Background Check
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
• FBI Criminal Background Check
